Job Description:

For the position of Experienced Accountant to be based in our Lahore office, to manage the work done for the UAE office.

The Role

  • Oversee and manage a team of bookkeepers
  • Oversee the delivery of quality information to senior managers and to the other departments within the practice
  • Build relationships throughout the practice to ensure cohesive working between the bookkeeping team and departments such as accounts, payroll, and tax.
  • Alongside the senior managers, identify and deliver process improvements and drive positive change, focusing on efficiencies and output.
  • Review of VAT returns, bookkeeping files, and supporting schedules.
  • Ability to resolve internal and external queries arising from bookkeeping review.
  • Review of detailed management accounts.
  • Deliver training, guidance, and development of the team
  • Review timetables for timely bookkeeping/management accounts delivery
  • Produce draft tax computations and a provision for inclusion in the accounts
  • Fulfill any relevant additional/ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Excellent UAE VAT knowledge to include:

  • Cash Accounting
  • Invoice Accounting
  • Partial Exemption
  • Flat Rate Scheme
