Job Description

Introduction – The job involves testing of an online tutoring website which is on an ongoing development and improvement cycle. The product is scheduled to be launched in the next 2 weeks but the product will be constantly evolving and hence the need for a full time QA personnel. The company is planning to launch the mobile app work within the next 8 weeks and therefore the QA should also be able to fully test the mobile platform during development and post production stages.

The following qualifications are desired –

·       Understanding of software development lifecycle and therefore the ability to design relevant test cases based on product maturity

·       Extensive experience of website and app testing. The candidate should be able to design and execute test cases for the following – smoke, regression, acceptance, functional, full system tests and database testing.

·       Experience in UI, UX, usability, security and user authentication testing

·       Experience in test management and defect management tools like JIRA, BugZilla, Mantis, ApTestManager, BaseCamp, Rally, Asana, Trello

·       Knowledge in automated testing tools like QTP and Selenium

·       Operating systems: Cross-browser testing in major platforms – Windows 7,8,8.1,10 and Mac OS X and revisions

·       Web browsers: The candidate should have expertise in testing and identifying faults on the following browsers – IE Edge, IE 11to IE 7, Chrome, Opera, Firefox and Safari on desktop and laptops of different screen resolutions. The candidate should also have experience on Android browser, safari and chrome for tablet and mobile phones.

·       Mobile testing: On latest Android 8.1 and below, iOS 11.3 and below . (Samsung Galaxy Note, Galaxy S8, LG G Pro, Motorola G2, G3, Moto X Play, iPhone X, 8, 7, 6, 4 and Plus versions) and other smartphones and phone-tablets.

Job timings –

The job will be based in Islamabad and on a 40 hours per week basis. The timings will be –

·       1 – 9 pm Monday to Friday

·       9 – 5 pm Saturday

·       Sufficient off time can be requested from senior supervisor so as to be able to work for 8hours on Saturday.

·       The candidate will be monitored by senior developers and designers

·       This is a growing phase of the company and hence additional hours/time might be requested at a short notice
