Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to perform effective risk management and plan the organization’s financial strategy.

A CFO must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging finance and accounting, treasury and corporate finance. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader since all relative departments of the organization will be under their command. They must display a cohesive ability at interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written. They must be able to engage with staff at all levels of the organization and exercise sound judgment.

The goal is to protect the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
  • Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team
  • Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
  • Advising on long-term business and financial planning
  • Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
  • Reviewing all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures
  • Drive the company’s financial planning
  • Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
  • Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
  • Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
  • Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
  • Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.)
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
  • Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system
  • Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
  • Manage team of financial controllers and financial analysts.
  • Co-ordinate with the Board of Directors, Top Management, Registrar and Transfer Agents (RTA), stock exchanges and shareholders
  • File documents with Registrar of Companies
  • Ensure documentary requirements as per Companies Act
  • Organize, prepare agendas, hold general meetings and record minutes
  • Manage shareholder meetings
  • Statutory Books and Registrars
  • Be a linking factor to directors, shareholders, and regulatory authorities
  • Filing corporate returns
  • Ensure proper compliance and execution of contracts and agreements
  • Specialized services as required by the directors
  • Payment of dividend and interest payments
  • Ensure that policies are up to date and are approved
  • Drafting and execution of agreements, contracts, and resolutions 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels
  • Attention to detail and a well-organized approach to work
  • A sound grasps of corporate governance issues
  • A commercial frame of mind.
  • Ideal candidate should be an expert of SECP matters especially for listed firms
  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management softwares (e.g. ERPs SAP)
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
  • CA / ACCA or CPA is also highly desirable.
  • At least 8-10 years’ experience in the finance industry and managing a team is a must – with examples of when they have demonstrated excellence in the workplace.
