The proposed Secure Communication for Classified (SCC) project will result in a working prototype of a secure remote access device (SRAD) with the customized OS using the red-black segregation technique to ensure information communication security in sensitive government organizations.

• The project belongs essentially to the field of cryptography; The proposed SCC implements red black engineering thorough segregation between circuits and equipment used to carry plain text classified information (non-encrypted - RED Signal) with secured circuits and equipment that carry encrypted information (BLACK Signal).
• To design a Smart Remote Access Device (SRAD) using Red-black Separation framework that will enable encrypted end to end communications from the Red Region to the Black Region which uses basic user owned devices (laptops/desktops).
• The proposed SRAD architectural design is based on custom microcontroller hardware and encryption algorithm.
• SRAD prototype will perform the encryption of input data, sending of encrypted data between red and black regions, decryption of data in red regions while utilizing secure key authentication mechanisms, and database handling on both sides thus ensuring confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, and authentication.

Required: Team Lead Software: Contract position for 18 months, reporting to Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement and manage data security on our device.
• Designing, development, testing, analysis and documentation of user application and device drivers for HDMI, VGA, USB and mouse, running with our custom hardware.
•  Interacting with hardware team on regular bases.
•  Working independently, and as a team member.

Required Skills:

• Masters in Computer Science/Engineering
• 3-5) years’ experience.
• Experience of managing small groups (5-7) people.
• Experience in writing device drives in low level Programming language (C\C++).
• Through knowledge of Operating System concepts and hardware abstraction layer.
•  Experience of building GUI applications.
•  Experience with virtualization (VMware, Virtual Box, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Linux is a plus.
• Ability to learn and implement new features.
•  Ability to work in research environment and meet deadlines.
